OBSERVATIONS/RESULTS
The review resulted in the preparation of the Sri Lanka People’s Justice Report focusing on the actions that had been taken in the three years since the global compact was endorsed.
This review process identified women’s priorities in relation to the five targets of SDG 5 and their alignment with developmentjustice.
The review found that the institutional structure for the implementation of the SDGs that includes 51 ministries including the lead Ministry of Sustainable Development, Wildlife and Regional Development, 425 public institutions of the central government at the centre and in the 25 districts, nine (9) provincial administrations, and 325 local authorities poses challengesto the achievement ofthe SDGs.
