STRENGTHENING GENDER RESPONSIVENESS OF EMPLOYMENT SECTOR POLICIES AND PROGRAMMES: A FOCUS ON WOMEN WITH DISABILITIES IN SRI LANKA

Following a study conducted on women with disabilities to identify the barriers faced by them in obtaining employment, several stakeholder meetings were conducted to disseminate the research findings focusing on how their capacities could be developed with assistance from the state and civil society organizations. An important aspect of this study was to create awareness on the use of gender responsive budgeting to promote employment for disabled women in Sri Lanka.
