The funding situation for NGOs has become increasingly challenging in recent years due to economic conditions in countries that provide funding.

CENWOR was requested by UNWOMEN to prepare the Shadow Report to the UN CEDAW Committee. The Report was developed by specialists in Law, Participation in Political and Public Life, Education and Training, Employment, Health, and Rural Women, and incorporated the responses to the Concluding Observations of the CEDAW Committee in 2011 and a discussion of the developments since 2011.

The year under review has been eventful in the international scene, in the country, and for CENWOR. The progress made in the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action 1995-2014 has been reviewed by ESCAP and other regional bodies and in New York and will be discussed by the UN in September 2015 in New York.
